In addition to an annual showcase of their work at the famous Stubb’s Amphitheater, our students perform at the most famous and noteworthy music events and venues in Austin. Anthropos Arts seeks these opportunities so students gain practical performance experience and confidence in their abilities. Students play in ensembles varying from 5 piece horn sections to 100+ piece ensembles that combine middle and high school students and Anthropos alumni. In addition, students are often invited to perform with professional musicians such as Grammy-winners Esperanza Spalding, Ozomatli, Rebirth Brass Band, Grupo Fantasma, and rock legend Suzi Quatro.
Anthropos students participate annually at Antone’s, SXSW, ACL Fest, Pachanga Latin Music Festival, Wobeon World Music Fest, KGSR’s Blues on the Green – plus performances at top venues like Stubb’s, ACL Live Moody Theater, Austin Music Hall, etc. – all the places and events that have earned our city the title “Live Music Capital of the World!”
